A new step to be extending the collaboration between UFSC and Swedish Universities and Companies occurred on May 29, 2017. During the visit to UFSC and CERTI Foundation of Eng. Cristopher Jouanett from Saab AB, Prof. Petter Krus and Dr. André Bittencourt, both from Linköping University, a project with FAPESC was signed by Prof. Luiz Carlos Cancelier de Olivo, Rector of UFSC, Prof. Sérgio Gargioni, President of FAPESC, and Prof. Victor De Negri, Head of LASHIP. This project aims to model and propose a binational cooperation center in aeronautical systems for promoting the joint research activities between CERTI and Research Groups at UFSC and UFSC – Joinville with Swedish universities as Linköping University, KTH and Mälardalen University. A closer cooperation with Brazilian and Swedish companies is also in the scope of the project. As a first result, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Linköping University, FAPESC, UFSC and CERTI
