The third largest group of participants in the SICFP 2017 – Scandinavian International Conference on Fluid Power was from Brazil, tied with Finland, neighboring country of Sweden, where this conference took place. Possibly it was the largest delegation of Brazilians participating in a conference on fluid power ever. Representing the ITA were Prof. Luiz S. Góes, M. Eng. Mário Maia Neto (PhD student and Engineer at Embraer) and M. Eng. Felipe Spuri (PhD student and Engineer at Embraer). Prof. Luciana Pereira, coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Engineering and Innovation Management at UFABC, together with the LASHIP / UFSC group formed by of Prof. Victor J. De Negri, Eng. Henrique Raduenz (Master’s student) and Dr. Eng. Lie Pablo G. Pinto (Postdoc) completed the delegation. As always, participation in renowned international congresses is an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and update on topics of interest of industry and academia. Thanks to our colleague Prof. Petter Krus and the FLUMES / Linköping University high-level team (Rita Enquist, Dr. Liselott Ericson and Dr. Magnus Sethson) for inviting us to participate in the scientific committee, coordination of sessions and roundtable. During the stay in Linköping, Professors Góes, Luciana and Victor also integrated the Workshop on System Engineering and Innovation that took place on June 12 at Linköping University.
