On July 31 and August 1st happened the 15th edition of the Symposium SAE Brasil of Powertrain, in Sorocaba, SP. It is a renowned event that brings together big companies of the automotive sector and research groups from universities. The masters student Tiago Simino Macedo gave a speech, according to the organizing committee invitation, titled “Fault analysis, using dynamic modeling, of a conventional automatic transmission’s hydraulic circuit” to an audience of around 50 persons, mainly from automotive industries and their product suppliers.
The topic is related to Tiago’s master thesis, developed in a partnership between LASHIP and a automaker company. The thesis subject is related to modeling and simulation, using signal flow, of the conventional automatic transmission’s hydraulic circuit, responsible for clutches and clutch breakes actuation, for understanding its standard behavior, hydraulic components and fault analysis.
