From 27 to 29, April LASHIP was present at the Machine and Equipment International Fair FEIMEC2018 in São Paulo. LASHIP was part of a group also formed by members of other laboratories who went to the fair representing the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Federal University of Santa Catarina. A space at FEIMEC Ideas Park was ceded to the Mechanical Engineering Department, who had the commitment of presenting academic activities on research, development, innovation and interaction with industry on the field of Industry 4.0, the fair general theme. Professor Victor J. De Negri had the opportunity to deliver a presentation to the public that visited the Ideas Park. The presentation was called Efficient Equipment Employing Digital Hydraulics (You can access the presentation content here – Portuguese only). The fair brought positive results beyond the lab and its activities presentation. One of results was to check some industry trends and new developed technologies. New contacts with companies from the hydraulics and pneumatics field were made to stablish possible future interactions. There was also a very gratifying feedback from the fair organizers, ensuring that in the next fair editions they will strengthen the presence of universities at the fair by giving more space and increasing the divulgation of the presentations and stands. The expectations are high for the next fair in 2019!!!
