The recently master in mechanical engineering Paulo Leonel Teixeira was in Chicago, United States, to attend the symposium ASME/BATH 2015 Symposium on Fluid Power and Motion ControlFPMC2015 – held from October 12 to 14. Paulo presented the article entitled “Pressure Modeling and Analysis of a Synchronized Hydraulic Press Brake With Variable-Speed Pump”  which was co-authored by Prof. Victor De Negri (UFSC/LASHIP), Prof. Petter Krus (LiU/Flumes), Eng. Waldir Vianna Jr. (Argo-Hytos AT), and Eng. Ricardo D. Penteado (Sorg Indústria e Comércio). The paper presented is related to the Master’s Thesis of Paulo Teixeira and was conducted in partnership with industry by Argo-Hytos AT and Sorg.

The symposium was an excellent opportunity to be updated on what is being studied in the world about Fluid Power state-of-art. United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, India, China, Japan, Italy, among other countries were represented in the event. UFSC/LASHIP was the only institution representing Brazil.
