In the week of August 25th to 29th, representatives of Flumes (The division of Fluid and Mechatronic Systems) visited the LASHIP. On this occasion, students and professors of LASHIP could present their projects and share information to improve and disseminate knowledge to both institutions. Currently there are projects developed in LASHIP with partnership of Flumes in several segments as Aeronautics and Digital Hydraulics.
In addition, the visit allowed the presentation to students of undergraduate and postgraduate, of Hopsan, which is a free software for dynamic simulation and developed by the visiting institution. The speaker and one of the developers of the software Prof. PhD Petter Krus was able to expose the software tools and present a case study using the Hopsan. The commission was also composed by the PhD Magnus Sethson and the PhD student Ingo Staack. In addition, a group of four master students from Flumes arrived on August 21st to start an exchange project of two months in LASHIP for application of knowledge in the area of product development.
