The 14th of May 2018, Robert Pettersson presented his master thesis at LASHIP. Robert is a master student from Linköping University in Sweden and have been working on his thesis here in Florianópolis for the last four months. His thesis is a part of the ongoing research on digital hydraulics between LASHIP/UFSC, FLUMES/Linköping University and SAAB. The title of the work is “Safety Analysis on Digital Hydraulics”. The focus of the work was to investigate the safety and redundancy of Digital Hydraulic Actuators-DHA. The conclusion was that DHA can be designed to be fault tolerant and is similar in terms of safety to today’s technology. Roberts defence of the thesis was held in Sweden the 8th of June 2018.
