The first two editions occurred in S\u00e3o Paulo, at the Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment (ABIMAQ) headquarters. The 3rd edition, WIEFP2016, took place in Florian\u00f3polis together with the FPNI2016, at the Campus of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The 4th edition, WIEFP2018, was held again in S\u00e3o Paulo at the Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment (ABIMAQ) headquarters. Due to restriction imposed by COVID-19, the 5th edition, WIEFP2020, was held through a webinar. We are glad to inform that this year the WIEFP2022 will take place again at the Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment (ABIMAQ) headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop aims to bring together industry and academia interested in this evolving multidisciplinary field of fluid power, driver, actuation, and control systems present in almost all industrial and commercial sectors. Furthermore, fluid power technology is strongly linked to other systems such as engines, mechanical structures and control systems. In addition, it is an area of focus for energy efficiency with new system concepts and other technologies entering that market.<\/p>\n<p>It has been an opportunity to discuss with distinguished managers, professors, researchers, and engineers working with fluid power components and systems, as well as with experts from inspiring application fields, providing an excellent floor for networking and high-quality scientific interactions.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2022 edition, besides the panel discussions with panelists from industry and academia, the workshop will have selected presentations from industry engineers and master\u2019s and doctoral students.
